I read this book when I was about 10 or 11 and promptly forgot the title and author. It’s been annoying me that I couldn’t remember the title for about 20 - TWENTY! years. It was the first post-apocalyptic fiction novel I ever read and it spawned a obsession with the genre that continues to this day.
