Bring David Home
- Sunday December 3rd, 2006
The Age is running a campaign to highlight the appallingly bad treatment of David Hicks - whether he is innocent or guilty he deserves a fair trial in a timely manner and to be treated with respect. The Age is asking for emails to be sent to: bringdavidhome@theage.com.au They will forward comments to the Government. Mine below: It’s about time the Australian government lived up to its responsibilities. Responsibilities to a citizen who has been imprisoned without trial and in dubious conditions for over five years by a foreign government. No other government would accept such treatment of their citizens, indeed Britain did not, why does ours? Where is our government’s sense of decency, fair play and a fair go? Shame John Howard - bring David Hicks home. Regards Kartar
