Oh yes ... democracy

Oh yes and democracy was in action on the weekend. I enjoy election day, both for my ability to exercise my democratic rights but also almost every polling booth has a sausage sizzle. And I love a sausage in a piece of white bread with fried onions and a good dollop of home-brand tomato sauce. Can’t say I really doubted the outcome, just how much the ALP was going to slip, though I was optimistic that the Greens would do well. And the resulting three MLC seats are a good effort. Would have liked to see the primary vote go up a little but shrugs… The major concern I had was the average 4-5% vote going to the Family First Party loons. Worrying. Though it appears that they won’t get any seats … this time.
