Perfect Day? Almost…

So after a somewhat not-so-perfect weekend I am left somewhat fucking tired and altogether a little grumpy. Also waking up at 5am because of the heat and my buggered sleep cycle didn’t that situation (still no curtains either – arghh – bright lights – glad I am not a ). But other events have conspired to make the morning bearable.

Firstly I found everything I needed to leave the house easily and without issues. Usually I get half-way down the street and realise I can’t find something critical to my getting to or into work – my pass card, wallet, etc etc. Today everything was at hand or rather stored in my new misc. odds and sods container – a My So-Called Life themed lunch box – don’t ask… :) .

Then my iPod spontaneously played exactly the right ten or so tracks my way to work and was seemingly pre-set to the perfect volume. Just track after track without prompting of exactly what I wanted to hear. Which meant I didn’t even have to think about changing tracks or volume.

Then I got a near empty bus and got a seat my own – without a bunch of stinky people crowding me – and without having to stand or be pushed past or over.

Then I got to work… Hmmm. Put paid to a perfect day.

P.S. Also having said that – I got to work and discovered I had left my credit card (my only card) in my black shorts from when I used it yesterday. Then, when I left work, I discovered I had left my laptop at work and had to go back and get it – so I could do the work I needed. So I should have touched some damn wood before posting. :)
